This is part one of a series of tickle stories featuring my OC's Denny, Roode, and Natalie, as well as Cho from my good friend,
Jesse-McOtter I consider her the sister I never had and I wanted to give her a special gift for being so awesome these past few years: A road trip to her old hometown filled with adventure and laughter (from good times, and tickling of course lol) It's been a while since I've done any creative writing so I fear I'm a bit rusty. But I hope you enjoy.
As Cho walked out of UNT’s University Union and into the bright, warm sunlight, she felt relieved that her final exams were finally done with. The young lioness anthro walked down the street, anxious to start her summer vacation; and there were three particular friends she wanted to spend it with.
She walked down West Oak Street and the house she was reaching loomed closer and closer and she could see a familiar face on the porch. Well, the bare paws of a familiar face, anyway. The pair of size 9 paws propped up on the guardrail belonged to Denny, a young dachshund anthro who attended UNT as well. He was sleeping in his patio chair, allowing the day’s warmth to comfort his soles. Feeling mischievous, Cho carefully snuck up to his resting feet like the predator she was and dragged a claw up his right sole.
“Mmmhmhmhm!” Denny giggled in his sleep.
Snickering to herself, Cho grabbed a stick from off the ground and dragged it up and down Denny’s defenseless feet, causing them to wiggle and twitch.
“HmhmhmhmhehehehehahahahaHAHAHAAAA!!” Denny laughed, causing him to fall out of his chair.
“It’s your 4 o’clock alarm call!” Cho goofily proclaimed.
“Haha. Who needs an alarm clock when I’ve got you?” Denny remarked before getting up and greeting her with a hug.
“So how were your finals?”
“Pretty tough, but I think I did ok.”
“Ah. Well, at least they’re done now, right? Time for some summer fun!” Denny proclaimed excitedly.
“Yes indeed!” Cho agreed “Say, where’s Roode and Natalie?”
“Oh, they’re in the back yard. Come with me” Denny informed her, leading her there. Sure enough, they saw them. Denny’s roommate, Roode, the big, muscular rottweiler anthro laying on a deck chair wearing nothing but sunglasses and a red Speedo. Laying in a deck chair next to him was his girlfriend, Natalie; an Italian greyhound anthro with short red hair and a neon green bikini.
“Hey guys!” Cho called.
They didn’t answer. The sunny air had soothed them into slumber.
“Hmm. Sleepy pups, aren’t they?” Cho chuckled.
“Looks like it. Perfect opportunity.” Denny said wickedly. Cho knew what that meant.
“OK Denny, but it’s your funeral” she warned.
Not heeding her, Denny snuck over to the sleeping couple and knelt down at their bare paws. Very carefully, he dragged his index dull claw up Roode’s left size 13 paw.
“Mmmmmhmhmhmhm…zzzzzz…” Roode chuckled in his sleep, twitching his toes. Smirking to himself, Denny continued his assault by tickling under Roode’s toes, making them twitch and some more.
“Mmmhmhmhm heh heh heh heh ha ha ha…Nattie hee hee nooooo hmhmhmhm…”
No, not Nattie, Denny mouthed mockingly. Cho covered her mouth with her red furred paw trying not to laugh. Denny reached over with his other paw and began tickling under the toes on Natalie’s right foot.
“Mmmmhmhmhmheeheeheehee Rooooode quit iiiit! Heeheeheehee!”
Denny was having way too much fun with this. So much so, that he increased his tickling at full speed. Their laughter and reactions got more intense with Roode’s guttural chuckles and Natalie’s sweet giggles blended into a torturous symphony.
“Heh heh heh heh hahahahaHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! AHAHA HA HA HA HAA NOHOHOOOOO!! AHAHAHAHAAAA!!”
“HEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEE!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA…DENNY!!!!”
Denny looked up to see Roode and Natalie pull their feet away and give him a look that screamed BUSTED. He could only chuckle nervously.
“Oh you’re so dead, Denny” Roode told him, getting out of his deck chair and charging at him. Denny tried to make a break for it but was quickly overcome when Roode tackled him.
“Ohhh no you don’t. Now you’re gonna pay!” he taunted as he dragged Denny to his deck chair. The young dachshund struggled but stood no chance over the bigger dog’s physique.
“I warned ya, Denny!” Cho cheerfully called, coming closer to watch.
Roode held him down while Natalie grabbed a roll of duct tape.
“Oh Denny, when will you learn?” she mocked, tying his wrists and ankles to the chair.
“No! No, please! I’ll buy us all dinner tonight if you—AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA NOHOHOHOOO!!! AHAHAHAHAHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEEEE!!”
But the two weren’t listening. Natalie already started skittering her claws all over Denny’s feet while Roode took position behind him. His ribs and sides stood no chance.
“AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!! I’M SOHOHOHORREEHEEHEEHEEHEEE!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA….PLEEHEEHEEASE!! I CAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!”
“I bet you are” Roode taunted “Are you gonna let me and Nattie rest from now on?”
“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA YEHEHES!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!”
“Do you promise?” Natalie teased, attacking his paw pads further.
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA I PROHOHOMISEHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!”
“OK” Natalie tittered as she and Roode stopped. Denny was relieved once Roode and Natalie tore the duct tape off and gave him a hug. Natalie turned around to greet their guest.
“HEY CHO! HOW ARE YOOOOU?” she asked cheerfully, giving her big hug as well.
“Hmhm, I’m good” said Cho, returning the hug. “It’s summer time now.”
“Yes it is. Speaking of which, it’s broiling out here. Let’s go inside.” Roode stated. He and Natalie picked up their flip flops and all four went inside.
The four sat together on the orange couch, propping their bare paws on the coffee table as they sucked down glasses of sweet tea. They all laughed to reruns of ‘Beavis and Butthead’ and ‘Ren and Stimpy’ while sharing stories of how cool growing up in the 90s was. Playing outside, riding bikes, game consoles with cartridges, and even the iconic noise AOL used to make when you booted it up. After much joyful reminiscing, Cho sighed.
“So, you got any plans?” Denny asked.
“Eh, not really. But…I was kinda hoping we all could do something together.”
“Oh cool!” Natalie chimed “What could we do?”
A light bulb went off above Roode. “How about a road trip? We can take Denny’s awesome Mazda. Ha ha!”
“Glad to oblige, bud.” Denny retorted with a smirk.
“Hey yeah, that sounds ok.” Cho agreed.
“But where?” Roode asked. They could go to New York City, Chicago, or Los Angeles. But Denny had a special place in mind.
“How about…San Diego?”
Her ears perked up and her eyes widened. “YES! YES! LET’S GO!” she cried as though he told a child they were going to Disneyworld.
“Ooooh San Diego!” Natalie exclaimed. “I’ve never been there!”
“What’s in San Diego?” Roode asked. Cho didn’t hesitate to answer
“THERE’SSANDIEGOZOO,PETCOPARK,AQUARIUMS,BEACHES OHWE HAAAVE TOSTOPATABEACH!” She told him, bouncing up and down on the couch like a child hopped up on sugar.
“Ha ha ok then” Denny said “San Diego, here we come!”
“YAAAAAAAY!”
The next day, Cho excitedly packed up her things and arrived at the house to find the three waiting on the porch.
“You ready, Cho?” Denny asked excitedly.
“I was BORN ready, bro!” Cho responded with much vigor.
“Alrighty then, let’s jet!”
The four loaded up the car and headed onto the road for California’s 2nd largest city.
