I'm very proud of this drawing, especially how I did the feathers ;u;

This is a gift for my Mum for Mother's Day (6th March) since crows are her favourite birds, but she wanted a realistic/semi-realistic drawing from me as well.

I was looking at different photos of crows including my own to get an idea of the anatomy and texture, so it was a challenge for me.

Originally this was going to be black & white or sepia but I thought I'd challenge myself by doing colours like for the beak shading, the feather "blue and brown" lights and the brown eye.

It's the first time drawing a realistic crow but I have drawn birds in the past, mainly traditionally though.

I hope Mum will like this :D
