yeah, in all honesty, i think she would have a huge inner conflict between bringing her son back and breaking the barrier. ideally she could do both, but perhaps since she doesnt have ALL the souls, she could debate whether she (hesitantly) take frisk's soul to free the underground, which means she missed her chance to bring back asriel, or use the power she has already and use it to bring her son back, but erase the underground's chances for liberation. quite an interesting dilemma!

If she does take Frisk's soul, I could totally see something like once she uses all the souls to do both things, she'll hold on to them until she can find a way to bring them all back to life.
