A quiet ethnic piece that I wrote several years ago when I was feeling very depressed. Somehow I've never managed to get this kind of sound again.

Done using my Roland JV 1080, some of the sounds from

cheetah-spottycat's ethnic card.

Around 2002 I wanted to use this for a movie about the Mothman incident called "Point Pleasant."

Then just shortly after that, someone made a movie about the Mothman, and then someone else used the title "Point Pleasant."

But the music is still as good as I remember.

I love the gloomy and eerie feeling of this wonderful piece! This is minimalism at its best. The percussion and every single note are all so haunting. I have listened to this so many times by now, but it is always affecting me greatly.

I am the same way, as are many other artists... I guess somehow art lends itself to emotions of sadness and loss, in a more natural way. Happiness is so difficult to express musically. It works on rare occasions.
