I am graduating from university in two weeks, and I’ve been thinking a lot about who I am. It seems like this is the first time, in as long as I could remember, that “who I want to be” and “who I am” are the same thing. I like who I am, and I am who I want to be. After being so self-loathing for so long, this is a really surreal feeling. The strangest part is I don’t think I’ve changed much, what’s changed is what I wanted to be. I stopped caring what other people wanted me to be, and focused on what I wanted, and I realized I was already exactly who I was supposed to be.
