Jude and Zack kissing, which happened only once during the whole run of 'Pause and Stop'. I think a lot of people were upset that they only kissed one time since they like each other so much... And you all know my real name now! NOOOO

Any ways... The main reason why I never had them joined at the hips at the start of Pause and Stop was because Jude and Zack had a falling out when Jude started dating Lola... Someone Zack wasn't so fond of since they were kids. Due to Zack and approving of Lola, and Jude being the devoted man he is, he took Lola's side and would often grow angry at Zack for not being supportive.
That was what led them to not talking for a long time (sort of talking on and off). It was only during the time of Lola's death that Jude really understood that he was in love with Zack. So for the first three books of Pause and Stop (what with Zack dealing with the fact that only now he understands he's gay and with his own issues of trying to be perfect), Jude tries his hardest to get Zack back, to have Zack understand that he doesn't NEED to hide who he really is, that it is OKAY for him to be gay... To make up for everything that happened between them over the years.
At the time, and to this day, I think that is a better way of showing love, their build up that is, then having them fall in love or dating right away.
