Problem is the 4R70W it is normally attached to has sloppy gear shifting. That causes the trans to fail. Mine also has the original 1996 plastic intake with plastic crossover, it will be converted to the better 2000+ model for a moderate boost in hp, maybe 215 at the crank instead of 205
