I'm guessing he didn't think the joke about the "Mystery...bird?" was very funny. Come on, hawk. Why so serious?

This one was taken in late summer of last year from only a few feet away. I'm not kidding. This hawk was RIGHT THERE! I wasn't sure if being so close would result in a lost eye or something. Still, I thought this was an amazing occurrence. I mean, these guys like to stay high and they fly away when I try to get closer. This one didn't seem all that bothered and let me get a good amount of pictures, both from this angle and from behind. I lament that I was unable to get a shot of it with its wings spread. I'm always too late for that, it seems.
