Full Buckram Follow-Me Fursuit Eyes TUTORIAL!
Thought I'd share how I do my eyes with you all!
(Sorry for the lack of content on this account btw, I've been going through a rough patch in my life but I am working on a commission!)PROS OF THIS METHOD:
-- you don't have to deal with plastic or foamies to make the whites of your eyes
-- VERY DURABLE, I've tugged at the lashes of my eyes before and they just don't want to come off. :"D
-- maximum vision!
-- minimum use of hot glue
-- easy to install - all I do is hotglue the bottom edges of the fleece to the foam of the head and they stay pretty well!
-- where the lashes and the eye meet look very clean
-- very cute and plush-looking
CONS OF THIS METHOD
-- eye whites won't look too good (unless you want to glue some foamies on TOP of the buckram but I've never actually) tried that
-- if your eyes are big enough, you might see the wearer through them if you're close enough. although, using unicorn buckram can possibly fix this!
-- time-consuming to make
-- sewing
-- should probably not get wet unless you decide to put a finish on them
THINGS YOU WILL NEED
-- paper - something to make eyes patterns on
-- scissors
-- buckram (that you can see through)
-- paint/markers/sharpies - to paint your eyes with! you will definitely need BLACK
-- foamie sheets
-- fleece - or your choice of fabric
-- hot glue - or some way to adhere the foamies to the fabric
-- needle + thread
-- straight pins - optional but omg are they a blessing to have
OTHER
I really hope the tutorial was at least somewhat easy to understand! If you have any questions, don't be afraid to put them in the comments below! I'll try to get to them as soon as I can :>
I'd also love to see if anyone uses this method (or even jut part of it). So if you use it, I'd love to know!! :3
