Villain concept for a game board that I was tasked for make for one of my college classes.

Boggart started off as a perhaps slightly too enthusiastic environmentalist, who would go to any rally he was invited to and would campaign vehemently for the sake of environmental conservation. A little too passionate in his endeavors, his attempt to sabotage a secret dumping operation backfired, leaving him covered in the strange, skin-burning substance that was to be dumped. Afraid of being caught and unaware of the activist buried in the sludge, the workers fled the scene, leaving him to die on the grass. Instead, he melted into and joined with it, becoming an entity of intertwining flesh and wood. This turn of events has only spurred him on in his goals, especially now that he can communicate with the greenery around him. However, Boggart has found that plants and trees, as they are, are actually pretty passive. Despite that, he stands as the emissary for the mildly annoyed trees.
