Football Cubs episode 31 - Play it again!
Cubs don't mind playing the same game again and again, and they certainly don't mind making a mess!
Football primer: There are midweek Premier League fixtures on Tuesday and Wednesday this week as well as the usual weekends, so not much time before the next games. Everton and Aston Villa are the two teams who have played each other more than any other pairing, and they play their 202nd league game on Tuesday night (and when you remember that teams only play each other twice a year, that's quite a long time they've been playing!)
Meanwhile, Manchester City beat Liverpool to win the League Cup, in a game that went all the way to penalties (if a cup game is a draw after the usual 90 minutes, they play another 30 minutes more; if it's still a draw then, they have a penalty shootout - five penalty kicks each, and the team that scores the most is the winner) only for the two teams to meet again in the League on Wednesday night. The hero of the League Cup Final was Man City's goalkeeper, Willy Caballero, who saved three penalties in a row to win it for his team. With a name like that, I had to draw him as an orca, like Lig's own character!
The winner of the League Cup gets a place in the Europa League next year; if the winners qualify for the Champions League or Europa League by finishing in the top five of the Premier League table, then the Europa League place goes to the team who finish sixth in the Premier. That means West Ham are now coloured orange on the league table here...

Yup yup. Any good cub once they've found soemthing fun can be occupied with it for hours if nothing else distracts them. And of course messes are fun! Their warm and squishy and the looks when people get a whi- Oh you didn't mean those kinds of messes did you? XD That's the kind lil Ligers are best at. That and scattering legos, and crumpled paper or a small area.
