*gasp* An art piece by me, and not fat/inflation related?

Anyway, I wanted to sketch something up really quick in celebration for Pokemon Day today.

I've been going along with this series ever since the first games came out 20 years ago, and even today I still remember all the fun times I had with the franchise over the years: getting the first games, the first time I beat the Elite Four, the first time I got a pokemon to Lv. 100, playing the Pokemon Stadium games, my first trades and battles with the GameBoy Link Cable, and many other great moments.

Flash forward to now, and it kind of leaves me amazed at how much the franchise has grown over such a long period of time, where now we can play Pokemon with just about anyone on the world, no matter where they live, with so many different types of Pokemon, and lots of different play-styles between each player. With so many new innovations brought to us by each game over the years, it makes me wonder just what these newly announced games will bring to the table. One thing's for sure: I'll be there waiting to find out.

So, hope everyone has had an awesome Pokemon Day, and here's to hoping that Pokemon Sun/Moon will start us off to many more wonderful years of Pokemon!
