Well I didn't play the gameboy games until later.. ^^'
I started collecting the cards first, and my first card (that i STILL have at my old age :p) was Charmander ^___^

I LOVE the TCG! I used to play it a lot as a child, nowadays I just lowkey collect a few. :D I wish I remembered what my first card was.
Really fitting though that you regardless got one of the starters! I still have loads of our old cards as well, they're so nostalgic :D

My first ever starter EVER was charmander on an online pokemon site, then i got pokemon silver and started with cyndaquil and then RE started with chikorita ;v; personally i bonded better with my Chikorita <3

Oh wow, when was that? I know there are a lot of Pokemon websites like that nowadays, but I didn't think there would be any around at the time of the 2nd gen's release O:

Chikorita was actually my first TCG card of the 2nd gen! I still remember exactly which card it was, and my brother gifted it to me. I loved that card. I'm pretty sure I lost the original (:C) but I should still have that same card somewhere! (It's this one: http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/t.....oGenesis53.jpg )

Oh no, I actually got the second gen way later than when it released, so there were many Pokémon RPGs out there, but by far the best was Pokémon omega, but it was eventually shut down by Nintendo since it was pretty much like the 3rd gen games but with more pokemon, regions and many multiplayer functions, it was seriously cool. Also omega ruby and alpha sapphire were due release next year, and the website's name didn't help either, so it was shut down. It really sucked because everyone had basically built their teams and experience a like on any pokemon game, it was like Fa but with Pokémon, a very cool community and great website..
And yeah! I remember that chikorita card! A friend of mine used to have it and I always wanted to trade it from her but she always refused qwq oh well...
