blacktailf-a asked me to draw one of the fighters I designed when I was a kid (12-13 years ago). And this is the first one that came to my mind: the Vector.I always was fascinated by the possibility of vector-based maneuvering, and I liked many concepts deployed by Russia (for example, the jet intake system of the MIG 29). I read many books about the prototypes my conúntry tested during WW2 (and I still don't understand why the hell they didn't continue to work on the helicopters they had invented).
Anyway, the Vector is a fighter that uses vector-thrust and mounts the jet intakes for the rather huge jet engine on top of the wings to a void debris flying into the engine when starting from a road or meadow. It was supposed to rely on armor rather than stealth technology (that technology is way too expensive and can be compromised easily to be effective), just like the A-10. It also mounted two different cannon types, two small caliber cannons for air targets, and a huge 50 mm cannon like the one the German Luftwaffe mounted on Me 262s to destroy tanks (IIRC the few that actualy flew did a pretty good job). The wings could carry a total of 6 AMRAAMS, or 4 AMRAAMS and 4 Sidewinders, or twelve light bombs.
Length: approx. 15 meters
Speed: about Mach 2
I'll add more stats if I find the sheet with the technical data. ^^

DAMN that was fast!
This reminds me of the Seylen, a fighter from Data East's "Vapor Trail" and "Skull Fang". It's key features are it's high speed, guns that fire both forward and backwards (!), and negative (forward-swept) wings;

The broadness of the wings and the tailless configuration of your design are definitely more original.
