i actually can't speak for zugum (owing to his being an Ogre), but at this point, i am relatively-certain Bruno might die with a modicum of happiness in his heart, if he passes on in zug's arms.

(or, otherwise, zugum dies in bruno's arms)

obviously i had to go back to look for clues that i missed.

and, as i go back and review, i have since gleaned a couple of these needed "clues."




plus, zugum seems relatively confident they're basically the last fursons standing, after this long-ago concluded war, anyway.

when the snow stops falling and starts melting, then they can venture forth and, maybe..
..live.

with almost no one stopping them.

well, by what i have gathered through the comic, it's not that they are the only survivors, it is just that area of the world gets snowed in for

months and does not stop until the snow ends. the war itself is probably on-going to this day, or ended throughout the time they spent in the

forest. we only know that they were in a war that was during the opening of the story, and they are now trapped with no communication of

any kind.


or at least that is my take on it. take it however you would like to.

it is plausible that zugum has incorrectly surmised that the aforementioned War is over and almost no one else, tauren or orc, lives

(it's not as if he, himself, had inherited the ostensive blood•lust his kin has..
..so, it may be empathized if he just wants all that crap to be over


zugum has no incentive nor stake in continued, or continuing, Atrocities — this)

i dunno..
..if it were me, i'd consider taking a few "reconnaissance" trips whenever the weather permits it.
one purpose for them is, to ascertain just how much walking i could endure in one session, before becoming exhausted.
the other, more primary purpose, is attempting to discover where the forest ends, and some other kind of Land begins.
