Another mash up sampler of stuff I'm working on. There are three in here, but these guys aren't from my EP project. They were going to be, but then I decided to focus on the original songs I started on.
I came up with these in late August, and recorded everything in each song pretty much all in one solid session. It was one of those, everything comes to you at once moments, which was great. They haven't changed too much since then, just tweaking of the drums, and recently converting the drum midi over from LM4 MKII VST to Addictive Drums.
There are two other songs from the same sessions, but they are less developed and are still just the scratch tracks I recorded so as not to forget them. Those two are called She's a Fox and Some Surprise, the latter I really like.
The first one on here is called "Rokk the Dokk," second one’s called The Number and the final one's called Set to Stun. Set to Stun's the only one w/o a bass and I don't yet have lyrics or solos for any of them, focusing on the other songs first. There is supposed to be a second guitar part in “Rokk the Dokk,” but I’ve yet to get a good recording of it. The Number only has the one guitar, as the riff benefits from the clarity of that.
The mix might be a bit rough in places, mostly with certain drum parts louder than they should be, but I haven't rendered the midi to audio yet, so I haven't mixed the parts properly, all in good time tho.
These have a slightly different feel from my Frisky Business songs, the drums are much more upbeat, and I think feature some of my better programming. Addictive Drums definitely help bring that out for sure.
So, this is basically what else is hanging around in my bag of tricks. To be finished one day, when I get the other stuff done, or when inspiration strikes me.
