Sometimes that's the point. For when I want him to be scared or roughed up, adding details like that take away the slightest bit of his adorability, and to an extent, his aura of innocence.
I don't know any of your characters, so I'm leaving open the option that the little wolf is you. I really like him. His goofy proportions and silly facial expressions are right up my ally.
Me? well to a certain extent there's a little bit of the artist in any character he creates, but if by that you mean he's a 'fuzzy representation of myself', a 'fursona' if you will, than no he isnt. He is his own person.
