After a long arduous day at work, I decided to take a walk down to the river bank and think. I do this every now and again after those shitastic days. It was calm, quiet, and quite cold. The gulls walking on the ice that covered the river and the Sun showing off how bright it was, all made for a beautiful afternoon getaway from reality. So I took the picture to hold onto that moment so I would not forget that second where I was comfortable and happy just to be alive not worried about how it was only 11 degrees out there, how much my next check would be, or where my life is headed.
