I did change her facial features in this to try and make them look more like the first painting I did of her.
I think this finally shows accurately the difference between my basic and full colour options, I just don't do much full colour stuff cause it takes forever.

Thank you! It took several tries and a few reference pictures but I did really try to get them looking accurate. (I hope you won't think less of me for the recent sketch I posted doing exactly that... its not really worth it to render out braids in a rough preliminary haha)
Not at all, lol!! Squiggly cornrows have their place, too! I have done them because I have zero patience, but usually I completely avoid cornrows because I can never get them right! x: It's just I rarely see it detailed like you have here. Even in pictures where everything else is elaborately detailed, the cornrows will look kind of ignored.
