For this commission, I wanted to see what Rodent might look like, if transformed into a slug-like creature. I wanted him to be a furless slug, while still maintaining some rat-like qualities. slug did an incredible job with coming up with this amalgamation of rat and slug.
Because of my love for long, sticky, chameleon-like tongues, I asked that such an appendage be included as well. Of course, to effectively show the tongue, it would need to be in the process of being used. And what better way to do this, than to be snatching up a tasty snack. In this case, Rodent's good friend
ranek looked to be the perfect target for such a demonstration. :)

Yeah, I've always been enamored by tongues that are used to snatch up prey. And while there's no needle on this one, I do have a commission I'm waiting on that has Rodent being devoured by a Cone Shell Snail, which do use a harpoon-like appendage to catch prey with.
Of course, I don't know how much of that the artist will actually show, since it's a single-frame picture of Rodent being devoured, and not a comic that shows the capture as well. But, we'll see when it's finished. :)

A moment later and the thick, fleshy walls of the rat-slug hybrid begin to undulate, squeezing and pushing around the tiny bunny, who soon finds himself being worked back up the wet, slimy gullet of the creature and eventually vomitted back out of his mouth.* Mmm. We'll have to do this again some time.
