The first badge of the year, done for one of my bestest-best friends,  foofie-nono!

Sinaris and I are both huge fans of Sailor Moon, so I thought it'd be pretty cute if I had her fursona cosplaying as Serena (aka Sailor Moon) pre-Super Sailor S costume. I purposely left off Serena's moon tiara so that Sinnie's moon marking would show -- I thought it was pretty nifty that the character design already incorporated a crescent symbol.

Overall, I'm really satisfied with this piece. There are several things (the eyes and pigtails especially) that are a good bit more stylized than I'm used to, so it was a very interesting challenge for me. I also really enjoyed getting to practice a bit more with blending techniques and the combination of mixed media.

I'll edit this submission to include a side-by-side shot of the badge after it's entirely cut out and laminated. :D Hopefully a photograph will help bring out the metallic shine on the moon and stars, as well as the glitter in the gel pens used for Sinnie's name.
