Very interesting. Mysterious. The plot thickens. Now, this story of yours starts to get some more unique features. Swords and weapons and such are often given magical qualities in fantasy, and I don't say that instruments of music don't have appearances in fantasy at all, but I think they are still more uncommon motives. The musings of the fox are rather interesting; fiddle, violin, viola... same sort of instruments but still a different breed, there is a difference.

Now, as the mare beat the fox, there has to someone to beat the mare. Where is Väinämöinen with his kantele made from the pike's jawbone?

Anyway, great story, I am enchanted, I am intrigued, I was entertained. I enjoyed reading this. Good work.

Hmmm, a wind-harp, an interesting concept I've heard of before (my apologies, I can't remember where), andthe idea is still pretty cool. Hoping you'll get to finish this story, it's going into some neat territory.

I'd like to finish it but I sort of ran out of steam...and into a little difficulty about what, exactly, should be the bridge to get from where we are now to where I'd like to be. It's harder going than I thought it'd be.

I got a novel on my hard-drive doing the same thing. Damned thing is up to 100,000 words already, too- then the sucker stalled on me. Been letting it "rest" before going back to read over it again with fresher eyes...
