Okay so I don't eaxactly have a 'sona' but at the same time I'm not 100% on how and why they work if one can even say such a thing. I'm a deep thinker and like I guess I think too much about things... but is it important that I have a 'sona' would it make me more of a personality or something? like I have my vuage blindman12 character which is kinda of a self detrimental joke I made about visiting the site kinda thing... Because at the time I had no Idea that years later I would be making art for it kinda thing. SO like yeah I want to understand what it acutally means to have one kinda thing... because I'm not convinced I would be very good at being anthing else xD; I dunno, I'm a strange one.

To me a sona is something I wanted to have because I find animalistic features attractive. So I wanted to be something I find attractive. It's not something I "see myself as" but something I "want to be more than anything else."
If you want to be human more than anything else, maybe you should design a sona as the type of thing furries can relate to.
Having a character of sorts doesn't hurt and it's something that has a different meaning to everyone. If nothing else I found it fun trying to come up with a character/sona, seeing how other people might interpret that and watch as they might change in design as my skill improves.
I wanted to make one simply because I wanted some sort of visual representation on FA, something that people can associate me with.
This however does not have to always be the case and throw in that people have secondary sonas as well. Each sona is to be a different way to envision yourself being.
In the end its best o at least have one or at least a main, even if you every once in awhile switch focus of your main, or the one that is the fantasy representation of yourself.
The only limits are you imagination, anything that you don;t identify well enough with, can simply just be another character of your own.
(Late response, but felt like needed to add, I realize by now you already have made a decision)
