I feel that ps4 is a better gaming experience but the xbone has a much stronger media experience. The xbone after they dropped all that initial utter disgrace of a DRM plan is not horrible system. Mostly it depends on the exclusives you want to play. If you take out the games element it will depend on you. Media playing on the ps4 is not the best experience that it could be but if you only care about gaming then I feel the ps4 is a stronger experience unless the xbox has an exclusive you can't live without. If a person can afford it than having them both is not a bad idea. Each one has it's strengths and weaknesses but one isn't overall better than the other. Just a better choice for certain people.

Both systems however feel like they are years and years and years behind my PC. However console really takes the advantage of being portable and cheaper. My pc weighs a freaking ton, I have to flush out the water cooling system and the cost of a console won't even pay the cost of my 700 dollar EVGA 980 TI Hybrid graphics card let alone my full rig. I had an old laptop for a long time, my ps4 and a ps vita. I have been happy with my Sony stuff overall. However, getting to get a new higher end rig left me blown away seeing AC syndicate maxed out with TXAA 4x + FXAA settings. Having a sound card with 600 AMP bumps it up a notch too. Nothing wrong with consoles though. I am planning on a wii u to get in on that splatoon fun. A PC will spoil you hard core.

I personally think that as a gamer the most stupidest thing you can do is limit your options. The more options you have, the more experiences you can have overall. All the platforms can offer rewarding experiences if you don't close yourself off to them. There you have it...my open and honest opinion. My grammar is horrible but I am tired as hell. Cut me some slack please :D
