Ok, so the flower does not look that much like a bluebell flower, but that is the first flower that came to mind.
This is a little magnet I did up for a friend of mine. She likes the color blue so thats why I chose to paint her that way. I think shes really cute, I can't wait to show her off!! hehe.
This is a wood burning, the color was done using watercolor pencils.

Oooohh, I really like this! How long did this take you to do, if I may ask? While I'm at it, is wood burning difficult to do? I've never done it, myself, but I'd be very interested in trying!
I also really like the look of the colors in this. So you colored directly on the wood? The coloring looks SO smooth! Man, now I can't wait to give something like this a try. : D You make it look so fun!

Well, I am not sure exactly but this pic is on a piece of wood that is fairly small. If I had to guess I would say a total of 4 to 6 hours.
Wood burning is very simple, it just takes lots of practice and patience. You really don't have to be good at drawing to do wood burning, though I prefer to do my own stuff. That fairy was from a pattern book. Perhaps I should make a tutorial...LOL!
Most wood burners avoid adding color because it can sometimes cover up the detail of the wood burning, or it appears too painted. I thought I would play/attempt watercolors because they are transparent and would be able to tint the wood, rather than paint it. I find that using water color pencils is the best solution because even with the burned lines, the water can still bleed where you don't want it to and can ruin it. So the pencils are ideal because you place the color right where you want it, as thick as you want it, and all you have to do is add the water with a brush. It keeps the color under your complete control and you can do just about anything you want.
I really enjoy wood burning, its a very relaxing form of art that is very fun and easy to do. I might just have to create a mini tutorial because really....I don't think a lot of people know about it and I would love to see more out there!
