The Amazonian Water Lily Dogfish

Its name comes from a species in the plantae kingdom known as the 'giant water lily' for the beneficial relationship the two specimens have with one another. This specific breed of freshwater dogfish uses the giant water lily plant as a safe zone for when it needs rest, feels threatened, or requires feeding. This species is predatory. Its main diet consists of fish, insects, and small mammals which in turn protects the lily from potential harm. A great portion of the specimen's life revolves around this particular plant as well as the fresh water of the Amazon river.
