In another revisit this evening, Went back and added some decorative elements and a little background to this piece I did for
Tempestuous a few months back. =) I'm still learning to do my own Nouveau designs, and she made a handy guinea pig for testing this one out!

Aww, thanks! =) Decided to practice both background and design elements with this one. Funny you should mention Maxfield Parrish. He lived and painted not far from where I grew up. XDD I actually performed one ballet recital as a kid on a stage with a backdrop he painted. https://www.phsnh.org/stageset.html
Oh too funny! The recital was in Plainsfield itself? What a treat! I live in New Hampshire as well and they just had a nice Parrish exhibit at the local art gallery. This actually evokes this piece a lot! Very well done.
Yep! XDD I grew up across the river in Windsor, VT. Still have a bunch of relatives in the area on both sides of the Connecticut river, though I haven't been back to visit in a long while. I do think growing up around all that scenery impacted my decision to be an artist, even if I don't typically do a lot of landscapes. I've always loved the ethereal quality of Parrish's work, too. =)
It truly is a stunning piece!! From the gorgeous background to even just the pose of the leg pointing out and braid floating in unison.... I can't stop looking at it, really so very lovely! Thank you so much Zanny!! You are a huge sweetheart and I adore you and your work tremendously. *hugs*
