-Those tentacle locks serve to protect their heads, as the bone can be more weaker

-The spectrals' original prey was the Aitherion, but when driven underground by the eidolon, they soon lost their love for their flesh

-the purpose of the eye markings is to attract mates. The brighter the better!

-common base colors are dark colors while the markings around the eye are bright, saturated colors. Light base colors are rare and off limits

- a newborn Spectral is called a pup and the gestation period is up to a full year

The Spectrals are an Open Species, but Spectrals with light base colors are off limits and will be given out during special events. But go ahead and make your own spectral!
