No worries! Even if he ends up all covered up in the black stuff he can get it off eventually. Plus look, it's actually a little transculent so it's more like a funny shell or suit. SImply enjoying the shiny ebony look. X3

I've always fantasized about a prank, where when I get in the shower, someone rigged it to dispense liquid latex~

Shiny loves playing with sticky stuffs and liquid rubber simply was just a wonderful choice in my opinion since it basically combines a nice feel of overwhelmth and reminds a little of balloons and toys. Really, I'm sure he'd go for several layers even if he'd end up a little immobile then but in me lil Dile's case we always know that he'll get freed by his dudes soon enough. He's been in these situations pretty often. =3

The look of the latex goop is way cool and shiny looking like I enjoy it from your arts always. Often had the idea that since Shiny is such an open minded playful spirit that he's all in for such funny ideas involving getting a little messy in the form of spreading the black and ebony liquid all over his scaly hide.

I can just recommend people to watch into full view size and look at how sweet the extra details came out here. It's so cute how you for example see the slight transculency of the stuff where it doesn't currently reflect the light. It's like a second skin made of rubber through which Shiny's features can be made out really well still.
For example there's his cute wink behind the right covered up side of his head. You can also see his musical note on his neckerchief here.

Agian about the shiny rubber, just look at the nice consistence the stuff has, running down over Shiny at such many spots while leaving like an oily trace. It's in a way really neat always when seeing how some sticky substances are a bit more thicker or thinner as a substance. I personally like each kind. Besides that I find it way beautiful how in some places the light reflection lets it appear a bit silvery blackish if you know what I mean. It simply looks that great! And surely not to forget the reflection it makes down in that puddle Shiny is standing in, showing some of his footpaw's and tail's underside. Way cool! =D

The body pose and facial expression both look adorable and happy. The lil Totodude seems to love the feel of that unique kind of a shower and is so eager rubbing it all where he's not covered in it yet. It's practically just like when he plays with mud and cleans himself afterwards. He simply enjoys all the nice things that he can sense with his scales, I guess. =3
But like said, it's way sweet how it looks like the happy Totodile is hwatching at either himself in a mirror or somebody observing the experiment or funny idea he's putting in action here. Pretty much the Totodile style like I like to call it. Simply making the best out of such moments, a melody on his mind and having a blast. (-^.=.^-) ♪

It's also a cute detail that you added those effect words and musical notes along with the already greatly colored art. I love the way the colorful appearance of Shiny contrasts neatly with the silver and black of the scene. Really making it popinto the watching eyes as a happy game scenario for the toony Totodile. =D

It's also very inspiring to imagine what might gonna happen next. Like, might Shiny get in for a round two and three, wanting to add more layers of the stuff on top? Going out and play with some balloons? Maybe posing like a rubber statue for a while or possibly hopping into a vat filled with more latex stuff just for fun? Silly and over the top lil adventures that this lil dude can all possibly do with his dudes, hehe. In the end it's the fantasy of each watcher who decides that but it's sure that Shiny is having lots of fun and will later bounce around safe and sound. Happy if you enjoyed it.
