Some created vorish sounds (looking for feedback)
~~Zip file download~~
Okay, so, over the past little bit I've been playing around with making some short sound effects out of sounds I recorded, since I'd like to put out a big collection of vorish sounds I've collected and it was like well what if I made some sounds for people to use in general?
Only problem is, I have no idea what's working, out of what I'm making. Like, what would be usable to people and what doesn't sound right. Or maybe it's all useful because people use stuff for whatever and I'm overthinking things? It's entirely possible? I just want to hear from people like, what sounds good, what people would use, and most of all, what I should make more of. :B
Anyway, the mp3 here is just a preview, the full .zip file can be found here. It has a good few variations on the sounds in there, too, it's not like the preview mp3 has everything, so you can poke around in it to hear some other takes on the noises?
And if nothing else you can just think of these as various sounds of a squirrel's stomach moving about or working or whathaveyou. :3
Also it's worth noting this is just the first soundpack I'm gonna be uploading in the near future. Got a ton of stuff getting organized. :B

The source material, yeah. :3 Then there was some editing to make these. Like taking a snippet of a sound and putting a little of something else on it, nothing tooooo intense? But I've got a lot of other stuff I recorded that I'm gonna put up once I get it a little more organized. :3
A bunch of belch sound-edits I've got are actually the biggest upload I've got organized so far, haha. x3 Cause I decided to do 16 variations on 16 belches and then add some more additional stuff, so there's like........260ish belches in there. I'm just spreading out uploads a little bit, haha x3 Don't want to throw out too much at once or anything
(plus it buys me time to search up attribution for other stuff)

These are awesome! Having all the variants of each type is nice, especially~
I mean, I see these as raw samples to throw a bunch of post processing on later anyway, so maybe another pack in the future could look at creating specific kinds of ambience, for bigger/tighter insides?
I also really like the glorps, but then I really like glorps as a whole |3
...would an entire sound pack of stomach growls be good? idk

Yeah, the only problem with doing things for different environments is that there's so many environments to choose from that it would take a long time to go through them all. x3
Then again, maybe that's like, something I could do in a stream, just have a theme chosen and then do a number of things for that environment or something, it'd be better than my approach of trying to take one thing and do All The Environments for it, haha

Oh yeah I'm totally fine with people using these. :3 I'd say like, some attribution would be cool but if it's part of a much larger thing then I'm not gonna be like "you'd better credit me for this 2% of a POV" or something.
I guess if anything, if someone was using only stuff I've recorded or made then attribution would be preferable, but yeah I'm more putting things out just to generally create more material for people to work with or use. :3 Cause yeah there's not always a whole lot out there that's super quality (or in the case of some of my recording, edited down so that they weren't so noticeably low-quality/easier on the ears) unless you really go searching. And whenever I get to making more sound effects then they'll be around for people to use too. x3

I wouldn't worry about things "not sounding right" if a effect you make is some how 'off' or not what someone needed then it just won't use it. That said it's not to say someone might find one of those files and be like "Oh this is perfect!"
I'd say just throw everything in honestly, always better to have access to more material than less. If you're worried it's too much then split the zips up by category maybe?

Yeah, it's probably best to just put everything in. I just have a lot of the problem of looking at one thing and going "Oh man this sounds so great, I should do it like that", and then also have 4 other instances of that in my head already, and it's just a ton of overthinking that makes conflict to choose what to go for/nail that certain sound??? x3
But yeah as far as sound effects goes this is just like, the beginning, they're just like, my attempts at a little heavier editing to get a sound effect, rather than just taking my "burps" folder and making a new version of each sound with the same reverb on it or something.
At any rate yeah I should probably just like, not overthink it so much, haha

As you said before, it's worth making a bunch of raw material because there's not too much folly to begin with. Also, being somewhat knowledgeable about sound design would help anyone looking to create whatever environment they want for these effects. I think that you just adding to the building blocks will help greatly and making multiple alterations to accommodate for the amount of specificities others have would be too much extra work on your part, since you're very good at this! I guess I'm seeing this from a fellow audio guy perspective, so I'm visualizing how to manipulate and orchestrate these and doing environmental painting on my own. Whatever...anyways, I'm very interested to hear the rest of these packs! I especially loved your glorps!
I just used my USB desktop mic, haha, I don't have anything very fancy or anything like that. And then the raw stuff used, well, for the most part (and sorry to ruin the magic for anybody), I think the stuff in there was mostly me squishing around a wet towel or bubbles that were blown in a very tall waterbottle. And then effects. Then some other stuff mixed in too, probably not stuff I recorded though.
