Lolwat. Is this real how old is this

Judging by the art style, uh, really old. Mid-80's at the latest, but I'd guess late 70's? Or earlier? If it's real. Wouldn't surprise me, the guy Jughead is regularly a twit and says stupid things, and the comic has some spectacular "they said WHAT?" pics floating around the internet that are completely real.

Could be, I really don't know. I was an avid reader in the 80's so I know it's earlier than that, but the Archie art style really doesn't change much, so it could be anywhere from late 60's to like... '75? ish?

Ohhh I was expecting this to a be a legit statement made by the comic. That's a relief, at least. =p

It certainly might have shown up in the comic, I really have no idea, but it's not out of line with what the char might say - but he's well-known for saying stupid shit so no, it's not something the writers expected you to agree with. ;P
