J'hal Teggor is the older brother of Sergeant Gant Teggor, who helped train Clone Commandos and ARC Troopers for the Republic. As such, J'hal didn't know his brother was still alive until the final year of the Clone Wars. J'hal is proficient in the use of bladed weapons and favors his cortosis vibro-rapier which can stand up the a lightsaber blade. J'hal is recently shown interest in his friend Zarpa Sch'ror as a worthy life-partner as the two men have been comrades in arms for years.
