Six days ago your parents took you to see a psychiatrist. Every night you would hear rasping breaths beside you after they would tuck you in at night. The nightmare comes back every night that you sleep alone. Every night you sleep alone, you clutch your sheets so tightly your palms begin to bleed, eyes wide in fear. The only time you sleep is when you are in your parents' bed or with friends. The psychiatrist prescribed sleeping pills for your parents to give you before bed every night. Every night you beg them not to give them to you, but they make you take them anyway. Every night you carry them in your mouth and spit them out in the bathroom before going to bed. Tonight, however, your parents forced you to prove that you swallowed them. Three minutes later you were laid down in bed. Two minutes later your parents tucked you in and kissed you good night. One minute later, as sleep takes hold of you, you look over at your bedroom door. In your mind, you scream in horror, but you've already fallen asleep.
