This month's painted miniature is the War Hammer Lord Elves on a Griffon from Blood Island. I knew there had to be snow leopard in this model somewhere, and the rest of the colors fell into place. This model arrived with a broken claw, hat, no stand, and missing a banner, so I had to recreate all of those things. I used bits of sculpey to fix the claw and hat, a shish-ka-bob stick and real rocks with white paint to build a base, and a bit of fabric lacquered to build a flag. This was my first Warhammer figure, I'm not really a fan of them too much, but this model was beautifully sculpted. We took it outside for additional photos.

Snow leopard gryphon I like the idea and colour scheme!
Warhammer has some awesome models, both in the fantasy and 40000 settings. If you liked painting this gryphon, you'll find plenty more that you'll like (and it will be a bit addicting...)
As an advice for the next time, when you paint freehand decorations like the black lines on the wings, use a smaller brush with a good pointy tip: it will help you with precision avoiding irregular shapes (though you'll need to thin the paint more: the smaller the brush, the faster the paint dries on it. This in turn helps, giving even more precision, at the cost of needing more layers. Finding a personal balance requires time, and you'll find your favorite shapes of brushes too)
