Damn NMM went too far to help Luna. She did not have to break her heart to get her to befriend mortals. And to allow every other pony but Luna to go where NMM is, is to rub shit on her face. That kind of rejection and loneliness made Luna go berserk in the first place and creates a powerful incentive to do something to get her banished to the moon.
