"Dinner time, boys!"

Ugggggggh, boy, was this a pain to make. But thankfully it didn't end in a headache, so it must not have been that bad after all, heh heh. Anyway, this is a depiction of a scene in "The Official Fanfiction University of Redwall": https://www.fanfiction.net/s/319249.....ity_of_Redwall
This version is closer to what happens in the chapter, in that Slagar feeds Basil to multiple Minis, not just one. Plus, the minis in this pic look closer to how they're supposed to look: http://kelaiah.deviantart.com/art/M.....oiler-52339975
You might notice that one of them still has a collar that's styled after Slagar's mask. I decided I wanted to keep the idea that Slagar marks the ones that are named after him.
Also, I used my new version of Slagar for this version, obviously. Also, Basil's gag is styled after his captor's mask because I figured Slagar would be more likely to carry around a spare mask as opposed to a pawkerchief. And I figured Slagar would want to add insult to injury like that. X) I'm also pleased with how Basil's arms came out in this version, since in the old one they didn't look realistically proportioned.
Fun fact: when I first drew this, I didn't like how Basil's face came out, so I redrew an entirely new face and pasted it over the old one. (Actually, I still wasn't satisfied with the expression, but it looked better than the first attempt, so I settled.) Also, Slagar says "Dinner time" as opposed to "Snack time" in the actual fanfic.

This is a scene from a fanfiction called "The Official University of Redwall" (also known as the OFUR). Its where fanbrats (fans of a series who write horrible fanfictions about said series, all the while saying, "Its fanfiction, that means I can write whatever I want!") are taken to live in Redwall so that they may be educated in good writing, what the series is really about, and so that the staff (ie, the canon characters) may torture them for their badfics.
The snake things are known as Minis. They pop in out of nowhere each time a canon character's name is misspelled. They're kept as pets (of a kind) in the abbey pond. And in this scene, Slagar, wanting to prove a point to Basil, ties the hare up and feeds him to the Minis.
But don't worry, at the OFUR, there's a "resurrection" deal where students and staff are brought back to life in the event of an actual death (be it accidental or otherwise). It requires a lot of paperwork, though, so everybeast is encouraged not to kill each other (or to do it as little as possible). Either way, Basil is brought back to life, and afterwards, the students place bets on how soon Basil will get Slagar back.

ah so that is his name in the original english version. The german version gave him the name "Basilius Hirsch-Hase"
They changed many names in the german Redwall books I suppose like with Zarina-Tsarmina
And that would be cool to see him in more perilious situations^^
