turns out the engine that was in the truck was too far gone to fix, luckily a friend found a 350 that was in good fixable shape and right now he is working on putting it back together. Here is a front view of it

Looking sharp! I was thinking about dropping a 350 into my 67 Camaro I'm going to start restoring after my 79 F150 is done this year, the f150 got a 351M in it, but the Camaro currently has a 327 in it, and I think I'll just keep it that way to keep it stock :)
You going to be restoring the truck, or just making it run??? Also, what year - my buddy's almost done restoring his 86*? I'm not positive on that year, but it's somewhere around there :P They're cool trucks when they're done!

omg those pics are SO familiar! Idk if you're interested - but I restore classics in my spare time as well, as of lately it's been dirt bikes - but I'll definitely have to get some pics up of my truck! God that thing's going to be SO COOL at the end (already is and it's far from done!)! You thinking of doing any suspension work to it? Lifting?? Or keeping / changing the stepside to a flareside / normal bed? Sorry about the influx of questions, I just get excited when I see someone willing to do the work to make an absolute beauty out of something that was once forgotten about! :D
I dont have the time or knowhow to do it myself so a friend of mine, who is going to school to be an auto mechanic is doing it for me, I try to help when I can. The suspension is staying as is, keeping the side step box and putting a sheet of diamond plate steel in as the bed.
Hey - nothing wrong with that - just pay attention and have him tell you what he's doing / help where you can - you'll learn SO MUCH SO FAST! :D I'm learning everything from my dad, who used to have one of the trucks I'm restoring, and my god the knowledge is just so useful, I can't put words to it!
Diamond plate is definitely the way to go for replacing a bed floor - since 90% of them are rotted out - OR idk if your pal lead you here yet - but check out LMC truck, they have EVERYTHING for these old trucks - I've used them for years now, and have NEVER been upset with quality!
