Kind of. Support for it isn't permanently going away I think... at least on my Linux distro it's still there. In the meantime, browsers will hopefully implement their own internal flash interpreter... I remember Chrome and Firefox were working on that, though I haven't checked its progress in a while.
yeah but alot of flash content is on here! and alot of video sites, and some sites alltogether require flash! And a majority of interactive and animated content on the internet is flash! And to replace that and take your time to code interpretors would shut down most of the mainstream content for weeks! the internet would slow down considrably if this isnt taken care of

No, this is false.
Its true, there are reasons why Flash wont ever fully die, and why its arguable if it should stay or go. But that afirmation is false.
1. Flash in general is slower than HTML5.
2. The death of flash isnt like "I push a button, poof. Flash is dead, now we'll have to slow down while our devs work in html5". Almost every company is actually developing HTML5 stuff first, without pulling the flash button out until they're done. Internet isn't slowing down nor its going to slow down, because the change is already happening since over 4 years ago.
3. The majority of interactive and animated content is Flash... I'm not so sure about this. It may be, true, but Flash is being displaced in favor of the alternative (HTML5) and a lot of users havent even noticed it. Just give it some years and the only flash content will be in retro sites or old stuff that refused to upgrade.
You're free to think about the real need that we have of Flash. You can be right or wrong about to keep it. But saying that internet will slow down due to that its not true.
