Biohazard's new ref sheet, because the old one was looking terrible!
Full name: Specimen 324 (Which isn't really a name.)
Gender: Genderless/Gender-fluid; lacks a reproductive system, flip-flops between identifying as male or female, sometimes identifies as neither.
Height: 4' at the shoulder (horse-sized; you could ride it, but it has spikes so you might not want to.)
Biohazard, sometimes called Bio, Hazard, Haz, Hazmat, etc., is a genetically engineered creature originally intended to be a biological soldier/machine of war. However, the project that resulted in its creation was found to be unethical, as all the creations were severely deformed/impared in some manner or another, resulting in a high mortality rate, and those that survived were slated to be eliminated after the war. Consequently, the project was shut down mid-way. At the time of the shutdown it was believed that all specimens had died of natural causes or been euthanized humanely. However, it would appear that some escaped.
Biohazard has proved to be much more intelligent than anyone thought possible during the project, capable of logic, reasoning, speech, and emotions. Despite it's sickly appearance and unstable genetics, it has far outlived anyone's expectations.
Physical Info:
Biohazard has a long, prehensile tongue, opposable thumbs, and the ability to spit highly corrosive acid with alarming accuracy. Internal biology is largely unknown and requires further study; what is known is that it could potentially digest anything, has air sacs in its lungs (much like a bird), and is capable of unihemispheric slow-wave sleep (sleeping with only one half of its brain, keeping the other alert). It bleeds bright green, and is able to make certain parts of its body glow (and often does, because it enjoys being freaky). Its fur is waterproof, keeping it warm and dry in most situations. In the winter it grows a much thicker, white winter coat. It is able to run at a fairly quick pace, and can keep it up for over four hours. It has a jaw strength capable of bending and shearing metal, and is constantly growing new teeth. The spikes running along its upper back fall out once every month or so before growing back in.
It is a mystery how Biohazard is able to see, lacking eyes or even eye sockets, but it does seem to be able to see using some unknown organ located in its head, around the symbol that gives it its name. It is partially colorblind, being unable to see the color red, but is able to switch between color vision, infrared vision, and ultraviolet vision. However, Biohazard appears to be very nearsighted, needing to get very close to something to see it with any clarity; much of what it perceives of the world likely comes from its other senses. Its hearing is acute, able to hear frequencies beyond the human range of hearing, and its sense of smell is phenomenal, exceeding that of a grizzly bear. The four "whiskers" growing from its muzzle also supply sensory information, although what exactly is unknown; some theorize they are able to sense vibrations, or perhaps electrical signals. If they are cut or severed, they grow back quickly, almost fast enough to be seen with the naked eye.
It regenerates and heals from injuries incredibly quickly, and does not scar easily. Despite this, its immune system leaves something to be desired, and it is prone to illnesses.
In a pinch, it is able to "force" a rapid transformation/mutation into a much stronger, pointier, more dangerous form, but it claims this is incredibly painful and draining, and it avoids doing it if at all possible. If it does not have the energy to shift back, it could be lethal, as it loses much of its regenerative ability while transformed.
Personality:
Biohazard is a strange, somewhat sarcastic goofball with an odd sense of humor. It understands and often uses irony and sarcasm, but due to an underdeveloped brain area, struggles with numbers and can't do more than the most basic of math problems, leading math to be frustrating. It can be self sufficient, and is an able hunter, but would rather have someone else it can depend on; if it doesn't have to work to survive, it is rather lazy, and enjoys frequent naps. It is also not picky about where it takes those naps, seemingly able to fall asleep anywhere. It always sleeps on its side, as the spikes on its back prevent it sleeping on its back (except for the few days after they fall out and before new ones grow in). It adopted a cat after finding it as a stray kitten, and promptly named it Pickle Chips. It enjoys running and chewing things, and once ate a license plate. It has claustrophobia and a severe fear of heights and needles; we would know more about it if we could get it into an MRI, but since it's afraid of both tight places and doctors, that's not likely to happen any time soon.

I tried looking up gender-neutral pronouns, but the only one I could find was "they." My problem with "they" is it sounds kinda like there's multiple people instead of one individual, but I worry that "it" might come across as offensive/dehumanizing to gender-neutral people. There's really not a good word for it yet.
Biohazard personally doesn't mind "it," though. Although most people prefer to use "him" or "her." More often "him." Not sure why, but again, Bio doesn't mind.
