The Truzlin are the only lin to venture the north... or at least, the only lin to venture the north and stay there. There are very few ways to live in any sort of comfort up in the far north, so these creatures evolved their furred coat. This coat certainly will look familiar to anyone who has caught site of a Truzkul before; they share many similar markings and most have the characteristic eye-path to prevent snow glare. Despite these extreme similarities, these two species are very, very different.
The Truzlin live in small nomadic tribes, following herds of large mammals through the tundra. They have created spears and bows to assist them in hunting these beasts as well as protect themselves from the predators who also threaten their home - some Truzkul included. Relations between the two similar-looking species are rather strained in some places as they must all share the same food source, which is scarce to begin with. Working together just exhausts an area so they go about their own separate ways. Any lin caught in kul territory is chased off or killed with vice versa the same.
These lin do not build big structures, but rather have temporary shelters they put up to sleep in overnight. Once day hits, they will take down these shelters to keep following their prey, day in and day out, only stopping to bunker down if a large snowstorm hits. Every lin knows how to hunt, especially the males. Females, on the other hand, know more how to protect their tribe viciously, especially the young. Both work together on the daily con- and deconstruction of shelter.
Unlike their other cousins in the south, the Truzlin have become viviparous. Eggs laid in this cold environment, especially without a proper way to keep them warm, is futile. Females will carry one or two young within her for many months before birthing them live, a unique trait among the lin. These young are almost helpless, but, pressured by the environment, are able to eat solid food from birth. This means that female Truzlin do not possess breasts or teats of any form and can focus her body's energy on protection after the birth of any young.

This is going to be a pain in the butt trying to draw a bunch of lin. I'm not used to anthros whatsoever and this is definitely a learning experience for me.
Forgot the background. Will add that in a later update.

youre so used to drawing dragons that you have trouble drawing bipedal characters? :P
thats like, the opposite of the problem I had a while ago lol http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18902571/ I had so much trouble figuring out how to draw them dragons before I settled on a look that I liked.
my suggestion for you would be to work more on the torso/hip/leg area since those are probably the areas you would be the least familiar with.

Fluffiness! Soft hugs xD although I'm pretty they wouldn't just return the affection in-kind. More like stab me with the spear.
Looks like a harsh life, being so focused on existing and moving that leisure or study time would be a rare luxury, probably. I like the black marking pattern, as well as the black mark around the eye... makes 'em look like a bit of a bad ass, like having been in a fight or something.
I think your attempt at anthro is a pretty good one :)
