So I got a gift card to Tandy Leather for Christmas and grabbed a pair of nice black deer skins. What am I going to do with all this leather? Well I started making myself a leather jacket. Designed it using the Assassin's Creed Connor Kenway coat as a base to get the body shape then altered the pattern a fair bit to get the look I was going for. Made a template out of gorilla tape to make sure it fits properly and have durable pattern pieces. Now that I have that part done, I've finally begun cutting the leather and sewing. It's slow going because I don't have a sewing machine, so I'm hand stitching it. I think I have my technique down though. I can't wait until I get more of it done up. The first 3 panels for the back already look really nice!
