Gotta agree with crossover. That doesn't make much sense at all as Sylveon don't really have an alignment. No Pokémon does. Every Pokémon is capable of good and evil.

Sylveon is achieved through max happiness level. Malgam has not had such a bond that would help him acquire it.

um so are espeon and umbreon?
and they use the actual happiness value coded into the game.

sylveon just uses the "pokemon amie" "affection value" (specifically 2 hearts) which say how much it likes you specifically, not "happiness" (and it needs to know a "fairy" move)

but if we are being THAT technical you did state "Malgam has not had such a bond that would help him acquire it" which does learn toward the "pokemon amie" idea of having a training that likes you specially (and vice versa).. rather than espeon and umbreon normal happiness value (which you can raise by just walking), or more likely in Malgam's case.. eating people..

although he might get a weird training he can bond with that feeds him other pokemon instead of pokepuffs and that might let him get sylveon... and after that he can turn on the trainer and eat them

In battle, yeah, he would switch to what's best for the situation.

Why not Sylveon anyway?

Malgam hasn't been able to get Sylveon because of the prerequisites needed, like the happiness level.

It's just they have the same idea of "shifting into another eeveelution whenever they please" sort of thing. Other than that, I don't see a whole ton a similarities, since he is feral and (most likely) has a different explaination for how he got the ability in the first place, but I am just making sure you're ok with another eevee oc on the internet having the same ability as the same one you have, since I know I would appreciate it if someone talked to me about the same sort of thing about one of my characters
