Out of sheer respect for the machine and anticipation for the then-incoming Marauder BattleMech to MWO, I drew the Marauder. And I drew it blasting a Fire Moth because that just won't be in MWO for some time. CX

I've never touched it, myself, I always found the lack of customization to be a big turn off; I honestly spend more time tinkering in the 'Lab than I do actually playing when I do have a functional MechWarrior game to play lol

I still have my install I got from that free MekTek download back when that was a thing, up until I upgraded to a newer video card a few years back it used to work just fine, easily one of my favorite games to kill time with hehe

Well so far, looking at the page, I'm not seeing anything to help--I mean, the technical support stuff led me back to a .txt I've already looked at but cannot for the life of me make heads or tails of 'cuz I'm not really that good with computers lmao
I'm also really good at shooting my attempts down because I lack confidence when it comes to messing with technical stuff like this; I get what it's suggesting I do, to add my Nvidia card to the list so the game considers it "supported", but I haven't the first clue on how to do that haha

The videocard.txt file is supposedly what I need to mess around with, but as I have no idea what I'm doing I'm hesitant to make any changes to the file because I don't want to totally break anything lol
I can see other Nvidia cards on the list, including some that were added in by MekTek, but my GTX 1050 Ti isn't on the list and I'm not really sure what to type to add it--or if it'll need any special flags to get it to work

Worse comes to worst, make a copy of the file, then make changes to the copy. That way, you still have the original.
I know of this issue - I know it's a known issue and I think modifying that file can help.
Or you can opt for the updated installer.

Welp, I tried a couple of times with my existing install, couldn't get it to work, so I took another look at the link you gave me before--there was a comment I hadn't noticed before, further down the page.
Long story short, it's heckin' working although I did notice the 3D models in the MechLab are spinning at Mach 3 lmao
Caught a comment someone dropped on a related video suggesting to limit the graphics card's FPS but I haven't the foggiest clue how to do that, and from the quick test I did using my Supernova I'm going to hazard a guess that means I can't properly use my jump jets until I figure it out haha
At any rate, thank you for your assistance, I'm actually able to play this for the first time since 2017, according to the "date modified" parameter on the most recent variant I made. cx It's a little bit wonky, but it's worlds better than playing MWO lololol
