It's his character Auron, who likes to get his hands dirty c:
I really liked doing the blood on him, even though I suck at blood X3
and the bg/shading was interesting to do, since I had to try and make it look like the light was behind him/shining down on him

In the ties the bind, and in its shadowing leaves with it the stains of blood. Where the weapons wielded at the hands that have been shaped by war; fighting tooth and claw leaving behind the battlefield but carrying the memories and the drops of crimson from its spoils, and the taste still fresh in the mouth. Thus is the warriors way, never pretty never glorious but at time necessary.
