I've had this piece open and looking at it for the past two days since I saw it posted because the incredible attention to detail, form and symmetry between all four of these beasts heads is something that commands attention.
Its really nice to see the Chimera recognized as a four headed beast, as opposed to a three headed. I think the only thing that would be missing is some kind of set of wings on its back to give it the fabled ability of flight.
The difference in having the beast be a civilized anthro Chimera is awesome. You can almost imagine a Greek outlying area populated by other such monsters carrying on dignified activities instead of being terrorizing, fearsome menaces for a change. The clothing is super simple but just so richly detailed at the same time, its so purely functional and fitting for such a Chimera.
Even the different fur types and scales come out beautifully. I would so love to see more of this one.
