Hhh sorry about all the adopts lately. These spawned because I had a really bad art block over the weekend and making designs always seems to help.


A friend urged me to make them into a species but??? I'm not sure. I feel like there are a ton of species like this already. Though if you guys like them then I can totally make them a thing. Let me know what you think!!



Anyway these guys are called Pillonu. They received this name because of the big, soft, pillowy structures on their throats that house their powerful vocal chords. They normally communicate through a series of high pitched chirps and squeaks, but their mating calls are well know for being surprising deep and can be heard for miles.

They're also commonly known as "Nurse Dragons" because when exposed to large amounts of moisture, those solid spots on their tails and cheeks will begin to melt and produce a sweet, honey like substance that has healing properties. Although it's naturally used to feed their young, there are Nurse Dragon Dairies that harvest the substance and sell it as a miracle tonic.

They're extremely docile (to the point of allowing strangers pet them in the wild), and smaller ones can actually be kept as indoor pets with the right training.

Just FYI, their eyes can open. I'll let the owners decide their eye color and pupil shape.
