Saving Up For New Graphics Tablet--Need Money!
If you saw this art on the front page and passed your cursor over it, please read this entire description. Thank you!
A while ago, I bought a Wacom Intuos. It was OK, but not quite satisfactory for me, so I gave it to a friend, who does graphic design and desperately needed one. And while I don't regret my decision at all, because he's very happy...
...I'm now in much need of a tablet!
I don't know if I told you yet, but most of my O.C.'s (not including Mag and Mollie) have been undergoing re-designs, so I'm uncomfortable with using any of them right now until their designs are finished. I also have trouble coming up with new ideas for pictures these days, so my creativity is a little hindered at the moment anyway...but it's hindered even more with the fact that I have absolutely no way of drawing digital pictures comfortably at the moment. It's hard to play with colors (try out different color palettes) on characters and drawings with traditional art materials, since colored pencils are permanent. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that my Mom got as a gift and she didn't want it, so she gave it to me (I don't use phone service, I just draw, browse the web and take pictures), which is just fine for drawing decent digital pictures. But 1. it can be inconvenient to draw on a tiny screen and 2. I have yet to find an efficient app that can draw "pixel perfect"/MS Paint-like lines and zooms in enough to work on smaller details or has layer support. Drawing digital pictures on the same level of quality as past digital works requires me to go back-and-forth through many different programs--on both computer and phone--and work very carefully with the mouse to fix areas that didn't get filled in properly, because I can't really color by hand in a different layer, which is a pain-stakingly-long process either way. I have absolutely no money, and my family's tax return isn't coming until at least 2 weeks from now. And I have a few digital projects that I would really like to start working on very soon. (I also worked hard to make this picture and put lots of love and care into it.)
So please--if you like what you see in this picture, send me a note and let's start discussing! I promise I won't disappoint you. Although my profile info is a little out-dated, and I've changed a lot since I wrote it, I pretty much draw/don't draw the same list of things. But if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask.
Thank you so much!
