HABITAT,
CacBum usually can be found on the African plans, but will appear wherever he feels will bring him amusement. He has one paw in the Abyss, and one paw in the Light. Never truly falling fully to drown, but never able to fully leave.

CONCEPT,
He was inspired by the scene in The Lion King when Banzai falls into the forest of Cacti and gets covered in Cactus Needles. Nimbus was bored I think, and was inspired by the idea of a DutchAD with Cactus Butt like Banzai. (I love him anyway)

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION,
CacBum has amazing eyesight, especially at night. His ears are large, perfect for picking up on the sounds that vibrate through the air. Though his rear has a bright neon lime green color going from mid back to the tip of his tail and down his back haunches a little, his large back flight feathers cover it easily when in his Feral Form so that he can silently slip through the darkness without arousing attention and without pressing the ever present needles further into his body. He has typical Hyena markings, though his yellow eyes hold no pupils, content to let them glow in the darkness as his deep dark grey and black fur keeps the rest of his features hidden.

PERSONALITY,
CacBum continually fluxes between a easy to deal with irritated mood, to complete and utter rampage. It is always hard to tell when his mood changes as his face is almost always in a scowl, eyes narrowed, ears back, feathers and fur fluffed out. Only a select few can get passed his stand-offish callous exterior, and worm their way to the Light still inside him.

HISTORY,
CacBum is the Gatekeeper of the Abyss, no creature knows why he was chosen for this important duty, though most guess it is because he walks the thin line between the Light and the Dark. Not truly belonging to either, flowing between the two's temperments as if they were simply water. Though he is never truly happy, there are the rare times when he is caught off-guard by something that draws out a laugh, but this is only achieved by those that have chipped his armors away enough to be trusted. He strays towards the darker thoughts more times than those of clouds of sugar and rainbows of multicolored soda.

If asked about his rather extreme case of Cactus Butt, he'd merely spit the needles at you before flying off to find a roost to preen them. It can't be said for certain if the reaction is out of defending the Pride of receiving them, or just not wanting to talk about that time in his life.
