The Littlest Cavalier
Here's something a little bit different from my normal submissions, inspired by Tacki's many fantastic pics of himself in Napoleonic-era uniforms, and Lig's pic of himself in American Civil War garb.
Among Zee-Zee's daddy's many strange hobbies, he's an enthusiastic member of his local English Civil War reenactment society (you might think it strange that there's a society like that in Zee-Zee's non-specific North American small town neighbourhood, but it's an unusual kind of place ^.^). And their costumer made Zee-Zee his very own uniform, so here he is, proud soldier in Sir Ingram Squirrel's Regiment of Foote!
Historical note: Although Lincolnshire, where Zee-Zee's family originate, was staunchly puritan, the local squirrels always remained loyal to the King. Zed reckons that this was because they were clever enough to correctly predict what a disaster it would be if those particular Parliamentarians ended up running the country, rather than through any belief in the divine right of monarchs and that kind of silliness. Zed also claims to be a descendant of the original Sir Ingram Squirrel, who unhorsed Cromwell himself at the Battle of Winceby in 1643, although he has trouble finding any real evidence to back up this claim...

Yep, the grown-ups at Daddy's silly-costume club all said I look like a big smart handsome soldier and they said in the olden days you really could be a soldier even if you were little as long as you were clever and brave! And even when Daddy couldn't get my uniform undone in time for me to go poopies on the potty they said it's okay because that happens to all soldiers sometimes!
Ahhh, the age of pike, musket and horse. Those Englishmen had some pretty snappy hats back then in the 17th century. You look very dashing Zee-Zee, quite possibly my most favorite of your pics... then again there are so many other great pics you've done.
On another note, you'd be suprised by the kinds of historical societies we have here in the US.
