It can be found both in Africa and in South America. It doesn't has any problem regarding its nourishment, it is 100% carnivore (but eats grass when he thinks no one is looking) and the mane varies from the area: in Africa his mane is darker and his fur reddish, while in south America the fur is thicker and tends to white.
If nurtured properly it could also be kept as a pet, but it's not recommended.
